Using data from the University of Pennsylvania &  the Congressional Research Institute, we found that:

IDENTIFYING BRANCHES

Just 26% of Americans can name all 3 branches of the government (executive, legislative, judicial). ​

Knowing RIGHTS

Just 37% of Americans can name at least 1 right protected by the first amendment.

FOLLOWING VOTES

Just 21% of Americans can identify how their representatives voted on legislation. ​
