Humanitarian Campaign - July 2020
In coordination with The Peace Syndicate, this humanitarian campaign focuses on the creation and publication of an article every day from July 13-19 on various humanitarian crises. This campaign not only brings awareness to various humanitarian issues but it also works on increasing advocacy for change in these areas.
Domestic PolIcy Campaign - August 2020
This domestic policy campaign involves the creation of various policy memos published during August 24-29 that are sent to officials at the local, state, and national level of various countries. Each memo has a specific problem that it targets and each provides possible solutions for policymakers and legislators to utilize.
#My Vote Matters Campaign - September to November 2020
The #My Vote Matters Campaign throughout the period of September to November involves the creation of a curated list of resources created by PII and its various partners. Beyond presenting information about voter registration, optimal registration guides, posts, articles, videos, and documentaries, we've worked with several organizations to increase voter turnout.
Health Campaign - January to February 2021
The Health Campaign throughout the period of January to February involves the publication of various health-related articles that shed light on ongoing health issues and leading health policies. By working with the Greater Good Initiative, the Time For 9 Toolkit, and the Healthcare Data Society we wish to raise awareness about leading student-led policy proposals in the hopes of acquiring endorsements from leading legislators across the United States.
Civic Action Coalition - March 2021 to Summer 2022
The Civic Action Coalition Campaign throughout the period of March to April involves the promotion of key issues in the realm of civic education and civic engagement. By working with Voters Choose and other partners, we wish to fundamentally change the way the United States approaches civics education.
Policy for the People - Policython
On October 23 - 25th, for 48 hours, students around the world will have the free online opportunity to write policy proposals- addressing today's most pressing challenges in public health, economic equity, criminal justice, and international affairs- at the very first Pandemic Policython. Organized by Policy for the People, an initiative remotely run by high school and college students, the nonpartisan event is dedicated to immersing students in the policy development process through world-class connections.
POLICY FOR THE PEOPLE - Education POLICYTHON
The Education Policython is a nonpartisan online competition from Dec 12 to Dec 13 for students to write proposals for policy-based solutions to today's most pressing challenges within our education system. Over the course of the policython, teams of one to four members will hear from partners, receive guidance from leading academics whilst writing proposals, and submit their policy memos to policymakers. Specifically, groups will explore ideas on improving their local schools and the latest research on how didactic activities may be altered to reinforce their learning.
